voltmeter purses 'before' 2

This is an old voltmeter my boss picked up at a rummage sale and wanted me to give it a more steampunk look...

There were two identical meters with a box like this. There was the box itself and then there was a cast metal insert that held the actual metering bits.

I removed the meter itself to lighten the boxes (the insides weighed about 5lbs or more) and then embellished the exterior of the boxes to get a more steampunk look and feel...
